Build your startup

“It is important to view knowledge as sort of a semantic tree—make sure you understand the fundamental principles, i.e., the trunk and big branches, before you get into the leaves/details or there is nothing for them to hang on to.”

Elon Musk

Build and grow starup

1. Skillshare

Thanks to the quarantine you can try Skillshare premium for two whole months. Which is awesome. Skillshare is full of various courses, both short and long. And it does cover almost every step of the process while trying to build and grow your startup!

  • Pitching your idea

To begin with, you can find super useful courses which will teach you how to present and pitch your idea. As we all know, having a cool idea is far from being enough. You must know how to present it. How to give people that AHA moment. You know, when they get what you mean and understand it’s value.

Before even looking into these courses we suggest you test the way you are planning to communicate your startup idea. Describe your idea in a few sentences and try to pitch it to the people of all ages and backgrounds. Call your mother, visit your friend and your grandma. Try to explain it in the way everyone would understand and believe in it. It is a great practice. You will grow more fond of your idea and it will become more clear. Believe us. Let’s get back to the benefits of Skillshare.

  • How to communicate

Here you can also find courses that can teach you how to communicate in general. When building a business, you must know how to communicate tasks, ideas and goals to your team. No one can read your mind and if you want a smoother start, you must know how to turn your thoughts into words.

  • How to stay productive

Most people think that being productive is putting more time into something. Not really. You need to know how to use your time efficiently and keep up the workflow. We all must know the feeling when you are just sitting in front of your computer screen and staring at the blank Word page. Trying to squeeze something out of your brain but nothing is coming out. Then you start panicking because you didn’t manage to spit out a single logical sentence. You can’t count that as a productive day, right? Some people do. They just think oh well at least I have tried – I have been sitting for all of these hours, so it should count as a legit workday. Skillshare productivity courses are going to teach you how to avoid these kinds of situations and have valuable workday.

We only shared a few of the things that we have found interesting. Skillshare is full of more awesome stuff so check it out.
